Concept Origin
FitNotes is an app I frequently use at the gym. It helps track personal weight training records and has been rated as one of the best-designed apps in its category. After using it a while, I think there's room for improvement: branding, interaction features, and visual elements that can enhance the user experience.
Icon Redesign
Original App Icon & UI Design on Android (Before)
New App Icon & UI Design on iOS (After)
The original icon and branding design is a bit bland. I've chosen a vibrant color theme with contrasting colors, for a more energetic and encouraging emotional response. I've modified the barbell icon in the original design by combining it with the letter "N", to fit the motif of "Weight Training Notes" and give it distinction.

Improved User Flowchart
I made three main interaction improvements:
1. Added new view styles enabling users to easily view their previous workout notes.
2. Converted its regular "add" button style interface into a "floating action button" style that is now accessible at all times in the app.
3. Designed the auto sync feature to help users save their training data to the cloud, so that the data will never be lost even if the device is lost. This feature is designed to be totally optional if the users choose to use the product offline or have data safety concerns. (The app won't ask for Internet permission if this feature is not enabled.)
